15th Street Café, a hidden jewel of a restaurant in the DoubleTree Suites at 15th and Lavaca, is one of the most convenient eateries in central Austin. Located equidistant from UT, the State Capitol  complex and the city's bustling downtown, the café is not only convenient, it offers pleasing food fare from early morning to late evening, seven days a week. Breakfast options include traditional  American buffets, omelets, waffles and pancakes, but also feature chef's specialties like eggs Benedict and spinach frittata. At lunch, a variety of appetizers, soups and salads (try the BBQ rubbed salmon salad) are followed by entrees from sandwiches to seafood. The seared tilapia is exceptional. Dinner entrees step up a notch to include New York strips, Cajun rubbed ribeyes and Southwest chicken fettuccini. A full bar complements all meals, and delicious desserts include créme brulet, pies, cheesecake, and the killer DoubleTree chocolate chip sundae. Dining indoors or on the patio, Austinites across the city will enjoy joining UT students and faculty, the downtown business community and those handling Texas' state business in this great eatery on 15th Street.
