We love that Austin is known for its laid back dress and life style, but Aquarelle is a place that lets you put on your high heel sneakers and strut your stuff as king and queen for a day! In a tastefully decorated old Austin home just off W. 6th, Street, Aquarelle invites you to relax, slow down and enjoy being pampered. The chef's goal is to create a true gourmet French dining experience and the  restaurant's skyrocketing national reputation asserts that he is doing just that. Great wines served in crystal stemware accompany wonderful starters, main dishes and desserts served on fine china. I  started with soft shell crab, lingered over a perfect beef tenderloin, and completed my dining experience with genoise cake with strawberries and cream. So if you want to impress your significant other, a business associate or your mother in law, Aquarelle is the destination to choose.
