Family-owned and operated Baby Acapulco has been serving quality Tex-Mex food for more than 20 years, and was one of the original eateries that laid the groundwork for today's ultra trendy Barton Springs restaurant row. Featuring live music, patio and outdoor dining, Baby A's is a popular lunch or after-work hangout as well as a leading South Austin dinner destination. The portions are Texas sized and the prices are reasonable. Breakfast dishes include authentic south of the Border migas and huevos rancheros. For lunch and dinner, traditional entrees like fajitas, quesadillas and nachos share top billing with fresh mahi-mahi, catfish, calamari and shrimp. The burgers, soups and salads are delicious (if you're watching your weight don't even start on the taco salad shell); and appetizers like queso con shrimp are ample starters for a table. A superb selection of margaritas and beers complement any meal, and to top it all off indulge in a traditional Mexican flan or tres leches. Take-out is popular and Baby A's will deliver to large parties, 10 or more, with a 24-hour advance notice. A 15% delivery fee applies.
