In addition to those fortunate to live along the Highland Lakes, just about everyone who either lives in or visits the Hill Country will make it to or make it through Marble Falls, and chances are they'll be hungry. Situated smack dab on Hwy. 281, on the edge of town, John Kemper's Blue Bonnet Café has been feeding locals and travelers for nearly 75 years. Breakfast is the prime time and Blue Bonnet has been rated best breakfast in Texas and one of the country's Top 100. Beginning at 6 a.m. daily you can feast on a variety of egg and meat dishes, pancakes, sweet rolls and just about anything  else you could crave. It's not just for breakfast though. There are seven daily specials including chicken-fried steak, chicken and dumplings, and meat loaf; fresh vegetables, soups and salads; and pies that are not only wonderful but a Hill Country tradition. It's not just the food either; Blue Bonnet is a great place for celebrity sighting and people watching.
