Wow! Talk about double luck...Nordstrom opens in Austin and brings Café Bistro with it. Forget shopping, this bistro is worth the trip to Barton Square Mall. Start with the Crabmeat Bisque, one of the best soups in town, or another of the starters and salads. The daily specials, usually a selection of pasta, seafood and meat dishes displayed near the entrance, always delight the palate, but there  are ample regular selections as well. It's entertaining to sit at the bar where you can watch the chefs prepare the fresh dishes and house made desserts. One bonus is an enticing children's menu that  keeps kids AND parents happily occupied. One other option not listed on the menu: you can order half of a sandwich with either soup or salad. Beer and wine are available.
