This restaurant definitely reflects the friendly, open, hearty nature of its founders, Johnny Carrabba and Damian Mandola. Carrabba's is an exciting, always crowded Italian grill with an open kitchen  built around a large wood-fired pizza oven. It's a great place for families (a Bambini menu is included), friends, and business people and is conveniently located at Research Blvd. and Duval. Classic  pasta dishes like lasagna, eggplant Parmesan, spaghetti and manicotti are complemented by specials such as Rigatoni Martino and Pasta Weesie. Every dish is prepared by hand with ingredients collected  around the globe, including pasta from Pompeii and farm-raised mussels from Prince Edward Island. A full bar features good Italian and domestic wines by the glass or bottle, and you can close out your meal with tasty desserts like tiramisu and Sogno di Cioccalata (Chocolate Dream).
