There are fifteen Central Texas iterations of this immensely popular Southwestern/Tex-Mex eatery, which was the centerpiece first development of Dallas restaurant guru Norman Brinker, who also founded  such chains as Steak and Ale, Bennigan's Tavern and Romano's Macaroni Grill. This version is located conveniently on 701 East Stassney Lane. The decor and atmosphere is casual, fun and chic cowboy; the joint is always loud and lively and attracts business people as well as friends and families. The food is consistently good (a Brinker trademark) with nachos, eggrolls and wings over Buffalo and awesome blossoms to start; a variety of soups and salads; sandwiches and grilled chicken, beef and shrimp; big, tasty steaks; Tex-Mex traditions; pastas, burgers and even veggie dishes. Desserts include  shakes, cakes and pies. If you find yourself in Austin, Albuquerque or Albany you can't go wrong with Chili's.
