Assuming its rightful place on ultra trendy South Congress Avenue, Doc's has completed the transition from automobile repair shop to a cool combination sports bar and patio eatery. Comfort food and cold drinks are the order of the day (and night), as a huge variety of beers, margaritas and wines complement good Tex-Mex and Southwestern dishes. Inside the MotorWorks diners can shoot pool and catch the latest sports event on high definition TV, while patio diners can enjoy watching the increasingly large masses parade down S. Congress. The food runs from lighter fare such as taco salads, chicken salads or fish dishes, while those with heartier appetites can enjoy burgers and sandwiches with sides of fries and red beans and rice, or Doc's own versions of Tex-Mex favorites like enchiladas,  tacos and flautas. The four layer dip is a tasty and filling starter and a suitable companion to a couple of "frozens, no salt."
