Two Austin locations have now been opened by EZ's, a San Antonio chain whose decor, menu and experience could just have easily come from Southern California. The ambiance is nostalgic and trendy SoCal, more like a drive in fast food joint with ample inside seating. The original location on Lamar Street is conveniently situated across the street from Central Market. The food is tasty, comfortable and kid friendly. Burgers, fries, sandwiches, and pizzas are the orders of the day, but they only set the tone for wonderful desserts like shakes, smoothies and banana splits. For those conscious of healthy eating there are even a variety of salads.
