Boasting some of the best Korean food in Austin, this warm and friendly N. Lamar gem is a great introduction to a very distinctive cuisine. While Korea Garden caters to true Korean-lovers with complimentary appetizer servings of traditional kim-chi (a variety of spicy pickled vegetables, cabbage, and fish dishes) and a stellar bul-go-gi (savory-sweet marinated beef with rice and lettuce), it also  accommodates tentative novices with more accessible options. First-timers should consider the crisp and tender Yakki Mandoo dumplings or order from the formidable sushi menu. Built-in grills allow zealous Korean barbecue lovers to cook select cuts of beef and pork to taste. The gracious staff and cozy décor, punctuated with low, curved ceilings, bamboo accents, and a traditional Korean seating area make a visit to Korea Garden all the more enjoyable.
