While some may argue that it is impossible to export the true tastes of a Manhattan deli to Texas, Manny Hattan's emphatically proves otherwise. With high-ceilings, New York City-inspired murals, and  friendly staff the restaurant is more upscale than the typical cramped Broadway eatery without sacrificing any of the "Hey! Whaddya? Whaddya?" energy of its peers back east. The ample reuben sandwich  and massive knishes (a traditional polish potato baked dumpling) immediately invoke the taste of The City. Also tempting are fresh-baked bagels made from dough imported from H & H, one of New York's most famous bagelries, which are available for sandwiches or by the dozen. For a special treat, try the delectable blintzes (crepes rolled with sour cream) accompanied by made-from-scratch blueberry sauce or more traditional applesauce. While the deli attracts a professional crowd for lunches due to its Gateway location, Manny Hattan's is family friendly. Don't forget to save room for straight-off-Broadway cheesecake or an authentic black and white cookie!
