Taco Shack has been an Austin fast Tex-Mex favorite since Orlando and Yolanda Arriaga opened the first Shack in 1996. Now six locations serve fresh breakfast tacos in the morning and tasty traditional  Tex-Mex fare at lunch. The downtown location is at the corner of 4th Street and Brazos in the new Frost Tower. As you might expect, more family members have been enlisted to handle the growth. At breakfast you can build your own taco or order one of the tried and true house favorites. At lunch you can build your own burrito or try a combo. Don't be put off by a drive through line that stretches around the corner.the service is as efficient as the tacos are tasty.
