If you're hankering for a good taco in Central Texas you have hundreds of options. A good starting point is to check out restaurants that feature the Tex-Mex stalwart in their names. Another is to see  what food critics say about them, and Taco Deli has amassed a pretty good reputation: Dale Rice writes "the tacos are delicious;" Texas Monthly calls the sopa las mananitas (with yummy chicken chunks) "state of the art;" and Austin Dinelogue calls the Deli a "hidden treasure," a "casually hip storefront" that offers some of the best tacos in Austin. Conveniently located near the intersection of Barton Skyway and MoPac, the eatery also serves tortas, quesadillas, wraps, and for more healthy diners, soups and salads. The "signature" taco features grilled chicken or sirloin with poblano pepper and Monterey Jack cheese. Eat in or take out, and keep in mind the restaurant offers both corporate and private catering.
