A rose for every lady is becoming a famous finishing touch to a friendly, enjoyable visit to VIVO, a trendy East Austin Tex-Mex eatery. Chef/owner Roger Diaz learned the art of cooking-family recipes, always fresh ingredients-from his grandmother and mother, but the "rose twist" is all his own. VIVO holds its own in a Manor Road area that is attracting a long list of hot new restaurants. After  feasting on delicious chips and zingy salsa, macho nachos and a wide variety of margaritas and other punches that pack a punch, diners can choose either lighter fare such as tortilla soup or tasty salads, or tackle the real thing.heaping combination platters like Emma's choice or Cameron's favorite, puffy tacos, enchiladas and chalupas. Whatever your choice of meals, leave room for the Zango or another special dessert. The eclectic interior is divided into several authentically decorated rooms, including a great area for small dinner parties near the bar. But on the 300-plus beautiful days  in Austin the patio is one of the city's best. Whether you're looking for the right spot for your first date, taking the family to early dinner or enjoying a late afternoon meltdown with your office  buddies VIVO should be at the top of your list.
