This refreshing Austin original has claimed an interesting and obviously popular niche: light, healthy, inexpensive Japanese food served fast! Austinites are flocking to either eat in or take out the  high quality, fresh dishes. There are no pre-processed foods: vegetables are procured daily and cut on premises; salad dressings and sauces are prepared from scratch; the sushi is rolled fresh at the  counter; chicken is all natural with no artificial ingredients or steroids; and steak is choice graded filet mignon, hand cut daily. The first eatery was on trendy South Congress Avenue, and the restaurant has migrated to N. Guadalupe near UT and Northward to the burgeoning W. Anderson Lane area. The annual Austin Chronicle "best of" award winning Zen should be on your "can't miss" restaurant list  no matter where you live.
