A contemporary gray with red trim decor set in a cozy 1920s cottage near downtown Austin suits Zoot and its customers just fine. In a handful of handsomely set tables in several small rooms the lucky  diners benefit from owners/chefs Stewart Scruggs and Mark Paul's attention to the smallest detail. The menu is designed to match gourmet food with fine wines, and two "tasting menus" are featured nightly. Diners begin with wonderful homemade rolls then progress to appetizers that run the gamut from rabbit to chicken liver pate. Next come fresh vegetarian broccoli or carrot soups, petite salads and  a choice of chicken, fish, pork, steak and veal entrees. Always save room for dessert.the coconut tapioca pudding is delectable. Everything is designed to produce a leisurely, memorable experience.
