Any Baby Can's mission is to ensure that all children reach their potential through education, therapy and family support services.
Each year, Any Baby Can brings help and hope to more than 5,000 of our community's youngest, sickest, and poorest children-the youngest through prenatal care and intervention services when children are born with developmental delays; the sickest when children experience chronic or critical illness like childhood cancer; and the poorest children who may experience neglect, abuse or abandonment.
Any Baby Can offers tools and training so families can provide a better life and brighter future for their children-children like Sean. Sean was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 12 and his family's world was turned upside down. The Any Baby Can Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Program guides Sean and his family through difficult times by providing medical case management, crisis assistance and mental health counseling. Sean's mom, Leslie, works closely with Any Baby Can staff to provide the very best care for her son, and says, "I've always been an independent person, but I just thank God for Candlelighters being there during my time of need."

The Austin Children's Shelter (ACS) provides emergency shelter, high quality care and hope for the future to the abandoned, neglected, and abused children of our community.
When children are removed from their homes due to life-threatening abuse or neglect, a temporary home must be found for them until more permanent plans are made. Austin Children's Shelter is a safe haven for children in crisis, and is the only shelter in Travis County for children ages birth to 17 years of age. It is the goal of the Shelter to reduce the emotional trauma suffered by child victims of abuse, violence and neglect by offering a wide variety of services and programs and a full assessment to provide individualized services.
ACS provides the children's basic needs such as meals and clothes, medical care, therapy and, most importantly, a nurturing and safe environment. In addition, the Shelter is placing an emphasis on education from providing an in-house pre-school teacher to tutoring to offering basic life-skills training for teenagers who will soon age out of the child welfare system.
Through the care, nurturing and guidance that our trained staff gives to the children, we give them a glimmer of hope for their future to help them begin to heal.
Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas will replace Children's Hospital of Austin in the spring of 2007. The hospital, which is a member of the Seton Healthcare Network, a not-for-profit community provider, will continue to serve the sick and injured children in its 46 county service area.
Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas will strive to provide the highest level of medical care to our patients, (ages newborn -18 years) regardless of their families ability to pay. The new medical center will be a world-class facility to the children of our communities in an environment that is designed specifically for them.
Our dedicated team of physicians, nurses, technicians and therapists are trained and experienced in the care of the children.
All over the world more than 100 million people have no access to medical care, mostly children. For this reason, the International Hospital for Children , a non-profit organization, was founded in 1981.
The IHC began by bringing needed medical care to the children of Honduras. Since then healthcare delivered by the IHC has become widespread throughout Central and South America and into Rumania, Bosnia, Russia, Haiti, India, Dominican Republic, and Kenya.
The IHC is a hospital without walls created to provide modern healthcare for the underprivileged children of the world.
