Elegant Hotel Offers Best-of-Everything Valentine's Weekend Package For $4,937
AUSTIN, Texas, (January 28, 2008) -" Hilton Austin management asked itself how special can it make Valentines. The answer is a Valentines Weekend Package that includes the best of everything and lots of pampering.
The weekend, February 16 & 17, begins when the Limousine pick up the guests at their home in the Austin area or at the airport and brings them to the Hilton Austin for an early check-in. In their suites, the guests will find a dozen red roses, a chilled bottle of 1999 Dom Perignon Champagne and a very special chocolate creation by award-winning Pastry Chef Edward Schultz, known for his exquisite sugar sculptures.
At their leisure, the couple will make their way to the Hilton Austin's Tower Health Club & Spa for a couples' massage followed by their choices of facials, body wraps or manicures and pedicures. In the evening, the couple may make its grand entrance down the impressive staircase that winds its way around a golden glowing monolith from The Loft Bar into the elegant Finn & Porter Restaurant, voted by Citysearch.com diners as having the best steaks in Austin. Their dinner will consist of a tasting of Bluefin Tuna sashimi, three ways, and paired with Divine Droplets sake; a tasting of 28-day aged prime beef, including rib eye, Kansas City strip and veal with lobster au Poivre, paired with 2004 BV Georges de Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon; a tasting of artisan cheeses, paired with Kopke 1977 Colheita Port; and a tasting of desserts. Following dinner, the couple will enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride around downtown Austin, the Capitol Building and the Governor's Mansion before returning to the hotel.
Sunday morning breakfast will include Mimosas, melon balls with a hint of Midori, a selection of hand-made pastries, breads and toast with the finest Scottish and English jams and marmalades. The highlight will be petit filet mignon and crab cake 'Benedict' on a Brioche Crouton with lightly poached quail eggs, rich Hollandaise sauce and Beluga Malossol Caviar. French pressed coffee will be flavored with Louis XIII Cognac. The finish will be chocolate-covered strawberries and assorted hand-made chocolate truffles and petit fours. The Presidential Suite package sells for $4937 and a Capitol Suites package sells for $4,437.
As an example of the pricing of some of the included items, an ounce of the finest Beluga Malossol caviar can cost $250 on the open market. A snifter of Louis XIII Cognac cost $294 in The Loft Bar and the typical selling price of the Presidential Suite is $1,500 per night, although discounted for this package.
