Dr. Judy Hamlin, Founder and CEO A retired university professor and author of 15 books, Judy Hamlin founded FoodHawk.com to offer restaurant patrons complete, informative, accurate, varied and easy-to-access information, in an entertaining and user-friendly online format. Taking advantage of the rapidly expanding use of the Internet as a source for information, she determined that a local and totally food focused web site would be embraced by diners. In addition to up-to-date reviews, the site offers a "time and day" restaurant search and gives users the ability to pre-select dining locations and meals, review menus, search for particular menu ingredients or dishes, and calculate approximate costs. By giving everyone with Internet access instant reviews and facts about restaurants, their cuisines, schedules and other pertinent information, the FoodHawk.com goal is to make dining in any city or region both more enjoyable for patrons and more profitable for restaurants and other food resources. The site's initial markets are Austin and Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas. Judy received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Millsaps College; her Masters in Library Science from Louisiana State University; and her Ph.D. from the University of Southern Mississippi. |
