Dirty dozen Cooking Class - The Dirty Dozen Cooking Class is an interactive cooking class. Students come to Abacus at 2:00 on a Sunday afternoon and receive a personalized Abacus chef's jacket. The class is then divided into four teams, 2 appetizer teams, an entree team and dessert team. The teams are headed up by Executive Chef/Owner Kent Rathbun, Abacus Chef de Cuisine Tre Wilcox, Abacus Sous Chef Jermaine Brown, and Abacus Pastry Chef Rick Griggs . Each team spends the day preparing one of four courses (unless the theme is buffet). At the end of the day (around 5:30), each student invites one guest for dinner, wine, and a great time. Instead of leaving with recipes, you will leave with the knowledge of "how to."

Abacus features a dining experience with a twist when you reserve the uniquely designed chef's table. Set at the bow of Dallas' first ever European-style kitchen, which is a theater of culinary arts, you will enjoy a dining experience like no other.


Each guest will get a glimpse of the chefs at work. The table seats eight to twelve people and must be reserved in advance. Enjoy our nine-course tasting menu, a great value at $90 per person, $115 with wine pairings, or order a la carte. The chef's tasting menu changes daily and consists of nine tasting size portions.
