There's a reason why getting a reservation on a weekend night at Il Sole can be difficult - the food is so good, the setting so pretty and the service so attentive that the Travis Walk restaurant has  developed a solid following among Dallas' hip and well-heeled crowd. They come for memorable Mediterranean dishes made with the freshest ingredients available, such as panzanella salad, seafood risotto and rigatoni with veal sauce. They come to sample wines from the sophisticated wine list. They come to dine alfresco on the attractive patio and in the pretty dining room. They come to enjoy a pleasant meal made all the more pleasant by a knowledgeable and experienced wait staff. While Il Sole caters to an upscale crowd, budget conscious diners can also enjoy a meal without breaking the bank by  coming on Mondays when wines by the glass are half-price.
