The line at the original Sammy's Bar-B-Que in Uptown starts forming around 11:30am on weekdays. For years the office crowd has been flocking to this one-time grocery store for tender ribs, juicy brisket and smoked sausage. After loading up your tray with a chopped beef or smoked turkey sandwich, or two-meat combo and a couple side dishes like perfectly fried okra, or buttery-rich baked potato casserole and helping yourself to a big glass of iced tea, head to one of the many tables out on the all-weather patio out back. Barbecue makes for messy eating so ask for a bib if you don't want to risk  staining your business suit with Sammy's addictive barbecue sauce.
