At the Las Colinas location of the wildly popular local chain Taco Diner, a sophisticated crowd dunks fresh tortilla chips into homemade salsa and sips frosty margaritas as they peruse the multitude of Mexico-style dishes on the menu and watch the efficient cooks at work in the open kitchen. The sleek, spacious dining room with its futuristic, minimalist decor is the perfect setting for enjoying inexpensive, flavorful Mexico-style fish and meat (pork, chicken and beef) tacos, enchiladas, fresh guacamole and flavorful dishes like the sopes Oaxacan, two corn masa patties topped with a trio of meats, black beans, lettuce, cheese and sour cream. Save room for dessert - the dulce de leche cake is addictive.
