Located in the State-Thomas district near downtown, the Thomas Avenue Beverage Co., or TABC, is a neighborhood hot spot thanks to good food, affordable prices and a relaxed atmosphere. This corner bar  and casual eatery attracts a steady stream of young singles and is a favorite spot for work happy hours. The restaurant's outdoor patio is perfect for an afternoon of drinking and eating with friends. Inside, there are a pool table, big screen tv and plenty of tables for days when dining al fresco isn't such a good idea. TABC's extensive menu includes enormous sandwiches, burgers, homemade pizzas, salads and an array of appetizers like spinach and artichoke dip and bruschetta. Entrees like meatloaf with scallion mashed potatoes are mainly upscale versions of classic comfort food.
